Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced QA Tester to support validation efforts for their AssetWorks implementation project. This role is fully remote and requires hands-on experience with test case development, validation testing, and detailed test documentation in a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will validate vendor-delivered testing and contribute to structured testing activities for a mission-critical asset management system upgrade.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, co-author, and execute manual test cases based on business process documentation
Validate testing completed by the vendor and ensure alignment with project objectives
Upload and maintain accurate and detailed test documentation in the project repository
Collaborate with project managers and QA analysts to plan product testing strategies
Review and define Entry/Exit criteria and testing quality standards
Track, document, and report issues with clear technical and non-technical communication
Assist application teams with component and product test execution
Participate in team testing sessions and contribute to post-project quality reviews
Provide recommendations for process improvements and contingency planning
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical study preferred
5+ years of experience in software testing, including validation testing
Strong skills in documenting and executing test cases
Experience working in a team environment with shared test artifacts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and adhere to structured processes and timelines
High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability
Preferred Skills:
1+ year of project management or team coordination experience
Experience testing government or public sector systems
Familiarity with regression testing practices and tools
Knowledge of QA testing standards and best practices
