Quality Inspector
AS9100/ISO9001 certified precision machine shop in North Las Vegas looking for a motivated quality inspector with great attention to detail. Company is small (~20 employees), but growing and fast-paced. Congenial work environment with young, aspiring GM. Strong history of 35 years serving aerospace, industrial, and commercial businesses worldwide. Three-person quality department (manager + 2 inspectors). Highly supportive company environment in which good communication keeps stress low.
Must be able to interpret engineering drawings, with an understanding of GD&T.
Must be familiar with Word and Excel (for generation of quality documentation)
Must be comfortable with the use of, at minimum: calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread (plug + ring) gages, optical comparators, and height gages. Knowing when to use each tool is as important as knowing how. CMM experience a huge plus.
Daily responsibilities include the following:
Inspection of first articles as brought to quality by machinists through use of tools listed above (and more)
Completion of final inspections (measurement + documentation)
Reviewing certs on inbound product from suppliers (both raw materials and outside processing)
Working with production to resolve any noted quality issues/nonconformances
Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 requirements and standards a plus!
