A Taste of What You’ll Do
Are you passionate about science, quality control, and the art of beverage making? Join our dynamic team as a Lab Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the excellence of our winery products. Under general supervision, you will perform physical, microbiological, and chemical analyses on a variety of alcoholic beverages from our vast portfolio. Your work will support multiple teams including winemaking, quality, bottling production, and product integrity, contributing to the production and evaluation of our high-quality winery processes.
In this role, you will conduct a broad range of analyses using instrumental methods. Your responsibilities will include operating sophisticated instruments that utilize techniques such as gas chromatography, flow injection analysis, near-infrared technology (NIR), and turbidimeters to ensure the finished product meets quality standards. You will also support microbiological analysis and preparation tasks, including sampling, sanitation monitoring, media preparation, and sterilization.

What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree with a combined 20 college coursework units of chemistry, biology, and/or microbiology; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years or 4 seasons of paid laboratory experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibilities; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 20 college coursework units of chemistry, biology, and/or microbiology plus 2 years of chemistry/microbiology laboratory experience.
Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime when necessary; required to work weekends when necessary.
Required to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Required to stand for long periods of time.
Required to be at least 21 years of age.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Required to conduct work at extreme heights.
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation
Set rate listed as $24.71- $33.37 / hour
