Summary
The Quality Auditor will report directly to the Quality Manager and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards while contributing to the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes. The role involves overseeing product quality, enforcing quality standards, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Quality Monitoring and Inspection:Â Monitor critical quality checkpoints and ensure timely compliance, perform and log quality checks as per company standards (ISO, customer requirements), verify that products meet required specifications and are properly packaged, collect production samples for lab testing.
Quality Documentation and Reporting:Â Maintain all quality-related paperwork and databases, communicate results of inspections and non-compliance issues, support the creation and management of PPAP and first inspection reports for new parts, maintain quality documents, policies, procedures, and records.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:Â Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and suggest corrective actions, assist in the development of the quality training, work with Production, Maintenance, and Tool Room to troubleshoot and improve production processes, identify and report areas for improvement based on audit findings and self-inspection.
Vendor Management: Monitor third-party vendors to ensure they meet Riverside’s quality expectations, manage and release supplier non-conformance reports as needed.
Equipment Calibration and Training:Â Schedule and maintain calibration records for quality lab equipment and gauges, participate in training to enhance job performance.
Qualifications
Quality Assurance/Quality Inspector experience from working in a manufacturing setting is an asset.
Production Experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and well-versed experience in Microsoft Suite programs such as Word, Excel, and SharePoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Valid G license with personal transportation.
