Step into the role of a Quality Assurance Specialist where you’ll meticulously inspect and refine castings to uphold top-notch standards. In this dynamic position, your sharp eye for detail ensures that every casting meets the required specifications.
Your Responsibilities:
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
Identify and segregate defective castings, maintaining quality benchmarks.
Skillfully operate trim presses, handling various tools such as chipper hammers and grinders to finish castings.
Fine-tune cutter head specifications, ensuring accuracy and documenting cutter head performance.
Coordinate with supervisors for timely machine maintenance and repairs.
Support logistics operations with occasional forklift use.
Optimize downtime through proactive housekeeping and enhancement activities.
Engage in continuous development and employee participation programs to drive improvement.
Adhere to company attendance policies for consistent performance.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, including occasional overtime work.
What We’re Looking For:
Positive, team-oriented work ethic.
While some experience is beneficial, we are prepared to provide training for promising candidates.
Competence in interpreting decimals, fractions, drawings, and formulas, alongside adept use of measuring tools.
Sound judgment required for setting up processes and sustaining quality through attentiveness.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and engaging in repetitive or strenuous activities.
Adherence to PPE standards, including the use of safety goggles and steel-toe shoes.
Requirements:
Licensure to operate a forklift.
Proficiency in machine safety inspections.
