About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
Quality Coordinator
to join our client s team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and improving the quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving
continuous improvement
across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain systems to ensure compliance with food safety requirements, including HACCP, BRCGS, Soil Association (Organic), Fairtrade, and Rainforest Alliance standards.
Conduct internal and GMP audits to ensure adherence to company procedures and compliance standards.
Investigate customer complaints.
Oversee day-to-day QC/QA activities.
Manage internal and customer specifications, including compliance documentation.
Support regulatory processes, audits, and visits, both internal and external.
Ensure all employees comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene procedures.
Perform finished goods checks to ensure they meet required standards.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
Stay updated with relevant legislation through trade associations and government sources such as the FSA.
Key Skills and Experience:
A degree in Food Science or a related field.
Experience in internal auditing and HACCP.
Proven experience in QC/QA within the food industry, with knowledge of BRCGS standards.
Strong computer literacy and excellent communication skills.
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to drive change and implement improvements.
Flexible approach to working hours.
A positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
