QUALITY COACH

As a member of the Quality team, the Quality Supervisor will be responsible for executing product and process controls per the control plan in conjunction with the plant’s production team. Lead 8D problem resolution process for internal and external concerns, including close interaction with the Customer Quality Engineer on updates.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Ensuring customer satisfaction through quick follow-up to problems/concerns with accurate feedback.
Developing and publishing Quality Alerts based on reported quality defects from customers or internally.
Managing the disposition, input, and reporting of scrap material.
Reviewing scrap data to evaluate necessary corrective actions.
Reviewing IPPM & DPPM data/charts and initiating corrective actions with breakpoints.
Participating in IPPM blitz by driving issues back into the process.
Performing scheduled quality audits including LPA, poka-yoke, and product audits, and reporting findings.
Maintaining poka-yoke documentation, assisting in ensuring corrective actions are completed, and maintaining schedules.
Reviewing Process Audit results and filling in when necessary.
Communicating all customer issues (liaison calls, QR’s, etc.) to shop floor and quality inspectors/technicians, and updating process audits accordingly.
Communicating build concerns to work areas and updating process audits to reflect these concerns.
Ensuring quality technicians have the appropriate tools and managing their duties to ensure compliance.
Verifying that gages and test fixtures are in proper working order before use.
Ensuring 5S is followed and maintained in the Quality Hold Area.
Coordinating in-process sorting and containment activities.
Following IATF 16949 procedures and instructions.
Supporting Supplier Quality Engineer and Quality Lab Tech as needed.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Your
Qualifications:
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings to understand quality parameters and product requirements.
3-5 years of related experience.
Experience in relevant manufacturing processes and technologies.
Understanding of practical problem-solving tools using 8D methodology.
Knowledge of quality tools and process/production control methods such as: APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, GD&T, MSA, PPAP & SPC.

Automotive & JIT Experience.
