Role Description We are looking for an experienced Quality & Commissioning Document Controller to join our construction project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the control, organization, compilation, and traceability of Quality and Commissioning documentation throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the project.

Location: Alat, Azerbaijan (Local candidates only)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00 | Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Control, register, organize, and maintain Quality and Commissioning documentation in accordance with project requirements and document control procedures.
  • Collect and compile complete Quality and Commissioning dossiers for project systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Maintain documentation related to construction quality, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities, including:
  • Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and inspection records;
  • Inspection Requests (IRs) and inspection reports;
  • Material Certificates and Certificates of Conformity;
  • Welding and NDT documentation;
  • Test reports and test certificates;
  • Construction and inspection records;
  • Punch lists and punch clearance records;
  • Pre-commissioning and commissioning check sheets;
  • Equipment and system test records;
  • Certificates, approvals, and acceptance records;
  • As-built drawings and final documentation;
  • Handover and completion dossiers.
  • Maintain Quality and Commissioning registers and ensure that documentation is complete, current, and traceable.
  • Monitor document status, revisions, outstanding documentation, and overdue records.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, Construction, Commissioning, Engineering, Procurement, HSE, subcontractors, and the Project Management team to obtain required documentation.
  • Review documentation packages for completeness and proper identification before submission.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation required for mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover.
  • Follow up on missing quality and commissioning records and ensure timely close-out.
  • Maintain both electronic and hard-copy project records and ensure proper archiving.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in document control, preferably on construction, oil & gas, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience specifically with Quality and/or Commissioning documentation is highly desirable.
  • Civil Engineering / Civil Construction education is preferred.
  • Good understanding of construction quality documentation, inspection processes, testing, and commissioning documentation.
  • Practical knowledge of ITPs, IRs, material certificates, inspection records, test reports, punch lists, as-built documentation, and handover dossiers.
  • Experience with document registers, transmittals, revision control, and document management systems.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify missing or incomplete documentation and follow up with responsible personnel.
  • Ability to work effectively with several project disciplines and subcontractors.
  • Good command of English is preferred.

Preferred Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a technical or civil engineering background combined with practical experience in construction project documentation and a good understanding of QA/QC and commissioning processes.
