Salary Range:
$50,000 – $60,000 annually

Job Summary
We are currently looking for an individual to contribute their first-rate skills as Quality Technician in our Quality Department. This position includes the responsibility of examining and evaluating raw material, assemblies, and finished goods from overseas suppliers. The candidate in this position will play a role in the continuous development and improvement of Tectran’s Quality Management System. The successful candidate must be proactive, results-driven, self-motivated, and dedicated to excellence.
Responsibilities:
Participate in improving our products, processes, equipment, and methods by performing inspections, testing, and evaluations
Supervise compliance to all standards and specifications including ISO-9001, DOT, FMVSS and SAE standards as well as product regulatory requirements to Calif Prop 65, Reach, GADSL, RoHS, TSCA, and Conflict Minerals Reporting
Facilitate non-conforming material (NCMR) disposition. Contain stock; coordinate rework activity (includes training, quality alerts and visual aids). Verify conformance to customer requirements. Support Material Review Board (MRB)
Assist in handling all customer returns for warranty including failure analysis, corrective action resolution with suppliers and/or Production and final dispositions.
Facilitate correction action procedure (CAR); support interim action, root cause, corrective action, preventative action, and implementation. Perform verification
Develop and update inspection protocols and/or functional inspections on incoming materials, assemblies, and finished goods
Create, revise, distribute, and file manufacturing instructions, standard procedures, process specifications, forms, and visual standards; ensuring the latest revision is controlled and used
Write Technical Product Specifications and Data charts as needed for use in marketing and customer communications
Communicate with our domestic and foreign suppliers regarding product evaluations and quality concerns
Perform additional tasks that may be assigned by management
Safety Responsibilities:
Employee will be required to wear the provided PPE per the role requirements
Follow site safety and any department specific protocols
Report safety hazards or potential safety hazards to reporting Supervisor
Attend company safety meetings
Education & Experience:
Associate degree, Trade School, and/or Quality Inspection Certification preferred
At least two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in injection molding preferred
Experience in machining preferred
Experience working with ISO 9001 or other comparable Quality Systems
Experience with product-failure analysis and material evaluations
Experience with using inspection equipment, like CMM, optical comparators, hand measurement tools
Electro-Mechanical equipment experience a plus
CAD experience a plus
Required Skills & Abilities:
Understanding of Manufacturing and Assembly Processes
Read and interpret blueprints
Ability to problem-solve
Use various precision measuring devices
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with management, other associates, customers, and suppliers
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
A commitment to the concept of “doing it right the first time.”
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to walk the operations floor on a regular basis
Stand and bend without difficulty
Lift up to 50 pounds at a time
