Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Development Specialist for a short-term contract opportunity with our client, a leading company in the aerospace industry. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in aerospace or other complex/heavy manufacturing environments who are passionate about supplier performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and develop existing and new suppliers to ensure they meet quality, delivery, and performance standards.
Conduct on-site supplier assessments, audits, and capability reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supplier quality or delivery issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply base using lean tools and best practices.
Monitor and track supplier metrics and provide reports to stakeholders.
Assist in onboarding new suppliers and ensuring compliance with industry and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in supplier development, quality, or manufacturing engineering.
Aerospace or complex manufacturing experience is required.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and supplier performance metrics.
Familiarity with AS9100, PPAP, APQP, or other quality tools/processes is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel locally for supplier site visits, if needed.
Contract Details:
1-month contract with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
$45/hour (W-2 or 1099 structure may be discussed during hiring).

Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
