Position Overview:
As a global leader in quality and safety solutions, Intertek provides inspection, testing, certification, and consulting services to the construction industry. Our client in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager – Continuous Improvement to join a major infrastructure project. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and quality management. It offers an opportunity to lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement & Quality Management:
Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the project.
Apply Lean & Six Sigma tools (PDCA, DMAIC) to improve processes and project quality.
Oversee quality management for large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., hotels, highways, malls).
Identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and track results.
Training & Development:
Provide training in Lean/Excellence & Continuous Improvement methodologies to project teams and supervisors.
Facilitate workshops, Value Stream Mapping, and Rapid Improvement Events.
Process Standardization & Documentation:
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and job aids to standardize construction processes and best practices.
Create and manage documentation such as guidelines, checklists, and templates.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management:
Monitor project performance, report on progress, and suggest corrective actions.
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to share best practices and ensure quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferably construction-related).
Lean Construction, Six Sigma (Green Belt), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is highly desirable.
Project Management certification is a plus.
Experience:
8+ years in construction quality and continuous improvement, with at least 5 years of international experience.
Proven track record of applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in large-scale infrastructure projects (hotels, highways, buildings, malls).
Experience with digital Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Expertise in Lean tools (PDCA, DMAIC), problem-solving techniques, and root cause analysis.
Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Innovative with an ability to challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for improvement.

Additional Information:
The position is based in Saudi Arabia for a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
