Job Description:
We have a great opportunity for creative, curious, solution-minded people to join and be part of our New Product Development Team (NPD). We are customer centric and are developing new innovative products that require an enthusiastic and dedicated teammate to help us realize our strategic initiatives. As a key member of our software development team you will have the opportunity to be on the ground level of a wide range of product development activities; from design and development of new products to evolving current products, to maintaining/architecting test software, documentation, test plans and processes, to developing custom test software and working with performance and profiling tools, to working with a cross-functional team in order to drive an idea from concept to production. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively support NPD projects from concept to post-release with strong sense of urgency, creativity and action.
Utilize intellect and best engineering practices throughout Pentair’s product development process (stage-gate).
Develop test cases, test plans and test strategies based on functionality requirements and customer needs.
Own all aspects of creating and maintaining software test documentation.
Development of custom automated test applications.
Develop and maintain automation framework in native, web and mobile applications.
Participate in the development custom automated test applications.
Participate in design reviews with peers and other talented engineering groups.
Collaborate with other Pentair Global Design & Manufacturing Centers as well as strategic suppliers.
Passion and commitment to software quality and reliability.
Coordinate between onsite and offshore testing activities.
Defect tracking, Bug triage, root cause analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS
B.S./M.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field from an accredited institution or equivalent expertise.
4 – 7 years of software testing experience in a high volume production and product development environment or equivalent expertise.
Be proficient in Python, VB.net
Have experience in manual test methods such as unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Have experience with SDLC; including specifications, development, debug, and deployment.
Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task and communicate effectively with little supervision.
Have experience in Katalon, Selenium, Java, Appium, Browserstack, Web/Mobile automation frameworks.
BONUS EXPERIENCE
Experience with scripting languages such as Java or Python or C++.
Exposure to iOS, Android Studio, Linux and embedded Linux.
Experience with Agile or equivalent software development processes.
Experience with Continuous Integration.
Experience in test management and automation tools Zephyr, QC ALM, QTest, UFT, Appium, Katalon, iOS, Android Studio
TRAVEL
Willingness and flexibility for domestic and international travel.
