QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
Seeking a Quality Control (QC) Inspector for our manufacturing facility in Denton, Texas. This is a hands-on position working directly on the factory floor. The position is not an office-based role and requires employees to work in a manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled.
The QC Inspector will ensure that products meet established quality standards and specifications. This position involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring production processes, identifying defects, and ensuring adherence to quality control procedures. The QC Inspector will also assist with the assembly of sample reels as part of the quality control process.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Inspection: Examine raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for defects, ensuring they meet specified standards.
- Testing: Perform various tests, including dimensional measurements, visual inspections, and performance tests, using tools such as measuring tapes, calipers, and gauges.
- Sample Reel Assembly: Assemble sample reels and perform quality checks to ensure they meet established specifications.
- Production Monitoring: Monitor production processes, identify deviations from standards, and recommend adjustments to the assembly or production line.
- Reporting: Document inspection results, report defects, and communicate findings to quality assurance and production teams.
- Calibration: Maintain and calibrate measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Compliance: Ensure products and processes comply with internal quality control policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to help maintain and improve product quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify minor defects or inconsistencies.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use measurement tools and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and recognize quality issues.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with production and quality team members.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot quality issues and help identify appropriate solutions.
- Quality Standards: Understanding of quality control procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Mechanical/Manufacturing Aptitude: Ability to work comfortably with tools, equipment, and manufacturing processes is preferred.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Must be comfortable working on a factory/manufacturing floor.
- This is not an office position; the majority of work will be performed in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- The manufacturing facility is not climate controlled, and employees must be comfortable working in varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely handle materials, tools, and equipment associated with sample reel assembly and quality inspections.
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
