Job Summary:
The client is transitioning their laboratory operations from paper-based systems to a fully digital, paperless environment. To support this shift, they require a Quality Control (LIMS) Consultant with expertise in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and laboratory automation. The consultant will play a critical role in integrating laboratory instruments with the LIMS system, enabling seamless communication between the two systems and facilitating the move toward a paperless workflow. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing these integrations and will act as the subject matter expert to guide the team through the entire process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead LIMS Integration: Take charge of integrating laboratory instruments with the existing LIMS system, ensuring seamless data flow between both systems for a paperless operation.
Expert Consultation: Provide expert guidance on LIMS integration, sharing best practices and troubleshooting issues as they arise during the process.
Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with site and global teams to capture requirements, define integration needs, and document the procedures for LIMS integration.
Network Instrumentation: Perform the integration of laboratory instruments, such as balances, into the LIMS system, ensuring all components communicate effectively.
Process Development: Help develop new standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the integration process, ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
Must-Have Qualifications:
LIMS Integration Expertise: Proven experience in successfully integrating laboratory instruments into a LIMS system, with a strong understanding of setup and configuration.
Instrument Integration: Experience with the integration of laboratory instruments into software systems, particularly LIMS.
Quality Control Knowledge: Familiarity with quality control practices within laboratory settings and how they align with LIMS integration.
Hands-On LIMS Setup: Practical experience in configuring and setting up LIMS systems and networks to work effectively with laboratory instruments.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with both site and global teams, capturing requirements and creating documentation for successful integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Laboratory Experience: Background in laboratory environments, particularly those transitioning from paper-based to digital systems.
Process Documentation: Experience in creating and maintaining procedural documentation for LIMS integrations and other laboratory processes.
Project Management Skills: Experience managing or guiding teams through technical transitions and ensuring that integration projects are completed on time.

Consultant Role: This is a consultant position, where the selected candidate will be the primary expert and guide the client through the integration process.
