Quality Control Analytical Development Engr Jobs in Commack, NY at Gemini Pharmaceuticals Inc
The Analytical Development Engineer reports to the Director of Analytical Development. They are responsible for adhering to Gemini’s standard operating procedures and federal regulations while performing the assigned work of the Laboratory.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities of The Position
- Investigates and creates new test methods and technologies
- Review of all Analytical Development laboratory data, notebooks, and releases to verify laboratory specifications are met
- Development of special protocols regarding USP, GLP’s and cGMPs at the Quality Control Director’s request
- Supports the Quality Control Director in signing releases of raw material
- Development and Validation of test methods
- Performs analytical testing of raw materials, finished products, stability samples and products in development
- Coordinates special reports and analyses
- Assisting with the process of attaching the approved GLAP method to each individual raw material code.
- Should be able to wear a filtering facepiece (dusk mask, surgical mask, respirator) throughout the day when required
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of BS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, Biology, or related science degree
- Preferred 2 years industry experience in a GMP or GLP environment
- Computer proficiency: Word, Access, Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Excellent understanding and utilization of scientific and technical language and symbols
- Ability to use measured and gathered information for making decisions or judgments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mathematical competence
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Must have good vision, aided by glasses if Necessary
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to bend, twist, squat and lift up to 50 lbs.
