Job description

The Quality Control Inspector performs product inspections utilizing magnified visual aids and mechanical measuring devices to ensure product conformance to internal and customer technical data requirements. This process includes analyzing technical data packages (e.g. assembly instructions, engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, etc.) in order to:

Identify and resolve issues affecting product configuration
Identify and assign rework actions necessary to rework production product
Accept production product work-in-process and approve for next assigned operation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To excel in this position, you must possess exceptional attention to detail, a dedication to producing high-quality products, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Develop and implement quality control plans to ensure that products meet customer requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
Perform audits and assessments of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards associated with ISO: 9001 and AS9100.
Develop and execute quality inspection procedures to verify that products meet specified requirements and standards.
Demonstrate proficiency using Quality Management System (QMS)
Analyze data and generate reports to monitor product quality, identify trends, and make recommendations for process improvements.
Participate in the investigation of product quality issues, identify root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
Train and mentor production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and quality control procedures.
Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, to ensure that quality issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
Manage the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure that measurements are accurate and reliable.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements/Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Manufacturing ERP software knowledge.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree/Bachelor of Science degree preferred but not required.
Must have, or be able to acquire, operator certification for IPC-A-610
Must have, or be able to acquire, operator certification for J-STD-001
US Citizen, or US Permanent Resident in accordance with ITAR compliance requirements.

Physical Demands: While performing these duties, the employee is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, reach with hand and arm, and talk or hear. Employees may be required to lift up to 10 pounds.
