KWS Seeds LLC. is looking for a Senior Quality Control Supervisor to join the team in Tangent, OR! The Senior Quality Control Supervisor supervises all quality control/seed testing activities, while developing and streamlining our QC Department.
Essential Job Functions:
Supervise, train and cross-train QC employees to work efficiently with QC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Identify, monitor and report sub-standard seed quality
Responsible for all QC SOPs
Provide QC support to all departments
Keep current with all processing changes, seed testing procedures, laws and regulations
Define and run experiments to improve QC SOPs and investigate seed quality issues
Responsible for all QC operations/testing, timelines, reporting and accuracy
Responsible for all QC seasonal staff, including training, scheduling, periodic review of quality of work through the use of blind controls
Conduct annual evaluations of personnel performance
Responsible for lab supplies and maintenance of testing equipment
Responsible for the documentation and calibration of testing equipment.
Responsible for the documentation and confirmation of test consistency through the use of controls
Responsible for a safe working environment and following safety policy
Other duties as assigned
Occasionally travel and/or drive on behalf of the business.
Qualifications and Experience:
BS in Agriculture or related field required
QC Supervisor experience required
Ability to organize and meet deadlines when under pressure
Good communication skills
Good work attendance history
Ability to master knowledge of seed testing lab operations and determination of seed quality
Proficiency with MS Office and data management

Salary of $70,000 – $85,000 – depending on experience
