Position: Quality Control/Assurance (QC/QA) Supervisor Federal Construction
Job Description
Salary: $120,000 – $130,000
Peregrine Solutions is looking for a QC/QA Supervisor to oversee quality assurance, compliance, and inspection processes for a high-profile federal construction project. In this role as Owner Representative, you will lead a team of inspectors, ensure all construction activities meet contract and regulatory standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead QA Oversight: Supervise CMa QA inspectors, ensuring thorough field coverage and compliance with project requirements.
Enforce Quality Standards: Implement USACEs three-phase construction QA process to maintain high-quality work.
Manage Inspections & Testing: Track and verify all required testing and QA inspections to ensure compliance.
Identify & Resolve Issues: Proactively detect quality deficiencies, enforce corrective actions, and prevent project delays or claims.
Oversee Documentation & Compliance: Review drawings, RFIs, work plans, and contractor submittals for accuracy and adherence to contract specifications.
Ensure Project Closeout & Payment Accuracy: Verify milestone completions, contract deliverables, and CMc monthly pay requests.
Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders to align project execution with quality expectations.
Qualifications:
Required:
7-10 years of experience in construction quality assurance, inspection, or project oversight.
CQM Certification (Construction Quality Management for Contractors).
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
Preferred:
Experience with federal construction projects and government review processes.
Strong background in contract compliance, claims mitigation, and risk management.
Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary inspection teams.
Expertise in construction quality control, testing, and compliance enforcement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively address quality issues and project risks.
Comprehensive knowledge of construction codes, QA/QC procedures, and best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in reviewing construction documents, interpreting specifications, and ensuring contract compliance.
