Position Overview

Medi-Products, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Quality Control & Builder Support team member to support our manufacturing operations.

This position combines quality control, production support, order processing, and build preparation. The role is responsible for inspecting in-process and completed equipment, supporting production technicians, preparing cables and components for upcoming builds, and processing SaverCell orders.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working directly with electrical and mechanical equipment in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities Quality Control & Inspection

  • Perform quality inspections on in-process assemblies and completed systems.
  • Verify equipment against drawings, specifications, checklists, and production requirements.
  • Identify defects, workmanship issues, missing components, wiring issues, labeling errors, and other non-conformances.
  • Document QC pass/fail results, rework requirements, and corrective actions.
  • Work directly with build technicians to communicate deficiencies and ensure corrections are completed.
  • Reinspect repaired or reworked equipment before final approval.
  • Maintain accurate inspection checklists, QC records, rejection records, and rework logs.
  • Help identify recurring quality issues and participate in root-cause and corrective-action efforts.
  • Promote consistent workmanship and quality standards throughout the production team.

Production & Builder Support

  • Process SaverCell orders and ensure orders are accurately prepared and moved through the production workflow.
  • Prepare upcoming jobs so build technicians have the materials and components needed to begin production efficiently.
  • Cut, prepare, label, and organize electrical cables used in system assembly.
  • Assemble and prepare commonly used components, subassemblies, and parts ahead of production.
  • Stage parts, cables, hardware, and other materials for upcoming builds.
  • Verify prepared materials against bills of materials, drawings, and build requirements.
  • Assist build technicians with build preparation and setup to reduce downtime and improve production efficiency.
  • Assist with hands-on system assembly and other production activities when needed.
  • Maintain organized stocks of pre-made cables, components, and production supplies.
  • Identify shortages or missing components that could delay scheduled builds.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing build time and improving production flow.

Documentation & Workflow Management

  • Maintain accurate production and QC workflow status within company systems.
  • Ensure required QC and production documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records for inspections, rework, production preparation, and completed orders.
  • Help ensure completed equipment is accurate, complete, properly documented, and ready for shipment.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to resolve quality and production issues.
  • Communicate material shortages, quality concerns, and production issues promptly.
  • Recommend improvements to assembly, inspection, documentation, and production processes.
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient production environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to use hand tools and work directly with electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, drawings, bills of materials, and checklists.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies and communicate them clearly.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple production priorities.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately maintain electronic records.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a production team.

Manufacturing, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, equipment repair, quality control, or inspection experience is preferred.

  • Production delays caused by missing or unprepared materials are minimized.
  • Recurring quality and production issues are identified and improved.
  • Finished equipment is correct, complete, documented, and built to Medi-Products standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
