Eastern Tech Company is a specialty ink and coatings manufacturer. Our team of chemists and application specialists research, develop, and produce high-quality ink products. With patented technologies, the chemistry team focuses on researching and developing components for water-based piezoelectric-compatible inkjet inks.
Our customers include some of the largest print companies, hardware manufacturers, and textile producers in the industry, including Fortune 500 notables.
The Quality Control Chemist will work with the R&D Managers to innovate new inkjet inks and validate that production batches are consistent with our certificate of analysis.
Responsibilities
Quality control of the production batches
Reporting and analysis of test results
Formulate and compound inks
Synthesize polymers
Produce new pigment dispersions using a bead mill
Integrate inks, printer hardware, and printer software technologies
The position requires the individual to possess a problem-solving ability to find solutions and integrating with new printer technologies. Given Eastern Tech’s development in new inks, the Quality Control Chemist will be required to test these inks on various printer platforms for real-world use and application. Based on the results, analysis will be required of the Quality Control Chemist to determine next course of action until the desired results are achieved.
The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree in science or have working experience in the following fields: chemistry, engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, and/or computer science.
Qualifications
BS in Science or Engineering field with at least 2+ years’ experience in industry/academic setting
Hands-on laboratory experience
Excellent communication skills
Good familiarity with Excel and Google Sheets
