About this Role:
This position will be responsible for carrying out
quality control
activities as per the instructions and guidance from the Technical Manager and the
Quality Control
team. The role ensures that all raw materials, packaging materials, and production batches meet the required quality standards while maintaining compliance with safety and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine quality testing of production batches to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.
Perform quality assessments on incoming raw materials and packaging materials to verify suitability for production.
Ensure that all laboratory equipment is calibrated, operational, and maintained as per industry standards.
Recommend adjustments to production batches when necessary to meet quality specifications.
Approve and verify the colour accuracy of production batches.
Issue batch certificates upon customer request.
Investigate and evaluate product complaints to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Accurately record all
quality control
testing data for raw materials and production batches in designated databases and Excel files.
Maintain organized and easily traceable records of all approved drawdowns.
Store and manage colour approval data within the ERP software for reference in production batches.
Ensure proper documentation of calibration records and other ISO 9001-related
quality control
documents.
Maintain and update reference colour standards.
Adhere strictly to safety standards while working in the laboratory and production areas.
Ensure the laboratory is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals and conducting tests.
Job Requirements:
Graduate in polymer science, chemistry or chemical engineering.
Additional certifications or training in
quality control
and laboratory testing methodologies.
Knowledge of testing of paint and raw materials.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in R&D / QC Chemist in a reputed paint company.
Excellent
communication
and interpersonal skills to interact with all stakeholders.
Ability to multitask.
Valid UAE driving license is beneficial.
