The primary responsibilities of this position include conducting visual inspections, checking coating thicknesses, spark testing of all coated surfaces, and repairs. All listed duties are to be conducted in accordance with Fab-Tech’s set standards and meet all FM criteria.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Conduct thorough visual inspections to ensure aesthetics of all parts meet Fab Tech’s high-quality criteria standards.
Ensure that coating thickness of parts meet mil thickness specifications.
Perform spark testing on all coated surfaces to ensure they are free of defects.
Make judgement calls on whether the product needs to be reworked or repaired.
Perform manual repairs on all defected parts.
Show your expertise
Ability to stand for up to 10 hours daily.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to make independent decisions based on standards.
Attention to detail is a must.
Gloves must be worn during all visual and spark testing procedures.
Note:
Must pass PFT and RFT to wear 7700 series respirator.
What can you expect
The work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases when in the manufacturing facility, although the office environment is usually quiet and respectful. Safety glasses and other required safety protection should be worn when out in the manufacturing facility, which may vary depending on the area you are working or visiting.
