Quality Control Coordinator Jobs in Marietta, GA at ELRO Sign Company

Role: Production Assistant / Quality Control Coordinator (Full-Time, Non-Exempt)

Location: Marietta, GA

Elro is a full-service signage company based in Marietta, GA. We serve clients across various industries handling everything from custom one-off fabrications to national multi-site rollout programs. Our reputation is built on craftsmanship, accountability, and getting the details right from the shop floor through final installation.

The Production Assistant / Quality Control Coordinator is the quality checkpoint between our shop floor and the client. This role is responsible for inspecting completed signage against approved artwork, shop drawings, and project specifications; maintaining accurate job tracking and documentation; and coordinating the flow of jobs from production through shipping. Day-to-day, this position also provides hands-on administrative support to keep production moving — flagging missing information, maintaining job status accuracy, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. This is a detail-driven role for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and holds the line on quality even when schedules are tight.

If you are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced production environment, and take pride in putting out quality work — we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Quality Control

● Inspect completed signage prior to release from production

● Verify signs against approved artwork, shop drawings, work orders, and client specifications

● Check dimensions, colors, materials, finishes, hardware, illumination, wiring, and overall workmanship

● Confirm quantities and components against the production order

● Identify defects, damage, missing components, or discrepancies

● Coordinate with production leads to ensure all corrections are completed before shipment

Job Documentation

● Maintain production packets and work orders throughout the job lifecycle

● Document QC issues and corrective actions taken

● Maintain photo documentation of completed projects and QC checklists in SharePoint

● Track rework and production errors for ongoing quality analysis

Administrative Production Support

● Assist with daily job tracking across active production

● Update job statuses in monday.com as jobs move through the pipeline (QC → Ready to Ship → Shipped)

● Track deadlines and communicate potential delays to the appropriate Project Manager or Operations Manager

● Coordinate information between Project Managers, production, shipping, and administration

● Flag jobs missing critical information before they reach the shop floor

Shipping & Receiving

● Verify ship tickets before jobs are released for shipment

● Confirm quantities, destinations, packaging requirements, and any special shipping instructions

● Review Bills of Lading and shipping documentation for every outbound shipment

● Take final-condition photos of every project at time of shipment

● Confirm shipment readiness with the appropriate Project Manager or Admin

● Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments from third-party carriers

Inventory & Materials

● Assist with tracking commonly used production materials through cycle counts

● Identify material shortages that could affect production schedules

● Document damaged or unusable materials

● Help maintain organization of finished goods, WIP, and shipping/packing supply areas

● Communicate recurring material quality issues to management

Process & SOP Compliance

● Identify gaps or failures in current QC processes and recommend practical improvements

● Help develop and maintain QC checklists and standard operating procedures

● Assist with implementing new production processes as needed

● Conduct periodic audits to verify processes are actually being followed

Communication

● Serve as the communication bridge between Production, QC, and Shipping

● Escalate unresolved issues to the Shop Foreman or Operations Manager

● Communicate QC failures clearly and professionally — never allow incomplete or questionable work to advance based on schedule pressure alone; consult with the Shop Foreman or Operations before proceeding

Education and Experience:

● High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or vocational/technical training in a manufacturing, industrial, or related field a plus.

● 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or quality control environment.

● Familiarity with production documentation, work order systems, or job-tracking platforms.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with monday.com and/or SharePoint a plus.
