Quality Control Engineer – EV Infrastructure & Construction Projects
We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Control Engineer with a strong background in construction, electrical infrastructure, data centres, utilities, or large-scale commercial projects to oversee quality assurance across EV charging infrastructure projects nationwide.
This is a site-based, field-focused role involving regular travel to active charging sites. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time on-site carrying out inspections, audits, contractor reviews, and quality checks — ensuring works are delivered safely, correctly, and to specification.
This role is ideally suited to someone coming from a construction, mission critical, utilities, or infrastructure environment background.
You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, project managers, and clients to maintain high standards across both electrical and civil installation works.
This role will require you to work nationwide on EZOs charging sites.
Key Responsibilities

- Produce clear inspection reports with photographic records and corrective actions where required.
Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) across electrical and civil scopes.
- Ensure contractors understand hold points, witness points, and quality requirements before work begins.
- Monitor contractor compliance with approved inspection and testing procedures throughout project delivery.
- Support project teams with quality documentation and sign-off processes.
Non-Conformance Management (NCRs)
- Identify and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where site works do not meet required standards.
- Work directly with contractors and site teams to drive corrective and preventative actions.
- Track NCRs through to close-out and maintain accurate quality records.
- Escalate recurring or unresolved issues to project management where necessary.
Contractor & Site Coordination
- Attend site meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-construction meetings representing the quality function.
- Review contractor quality documentation, inspection records, and method statements.
- Build strong working relationships with site managers, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Support continuous improvement across site delivery teams.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, NCRs, test results, and quality documentation.
