Location: North Glengarry
Our client is a successful metal fabrication company with a long history of providing quality products for a variety of industries. They are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for their Stratford Plant. What is critical for them is that you were employed for two years in a quality facility where you used ASME codes as well as CWB or AWS codes on a regular basis for manual welding lines.

REQUIREMENTS:
A university degree or post-secondary
education
in a mechanical engineering.
A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a quality-related role where you used ASME codes as well as WWB or AWS codes on a regular basis for manual welding lines
Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other
quality assurance
techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform first article inspections
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and sustain inspection methods and documentation, including CMM programs.
Oversee the quality of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to identify any issues.
Conduct dimensional assessments of parts using suitable equipment, gauges, and fixtures, ensuring they are calibrated correctly before use.
Track process, product, and quality system performance in line with relevant standards and procedures, and report any concerns through the Corrective Action process.
Assemble PPAP/First Article submissions for assigned programs.
