Quality Control Engineer Jobs in Henderson, NV at MWH
As a Mobile Senior QA Tester your duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to; checking build standardization and stability across Mobile ecosystems, running a specialized team for specific content, creating test plans, compiling bugs for reports, or testing specific features independently, communicating status to PD/Dev teams as well as Management and working with a cross functional team that spans multiple organizations and locations. You will also be responsible for triaging and regressing bugs, while mentoring newer testers and outsource partners.
Description
[Responsibilities]
Extensive familiarity with Apple and Android Device testing, specifically usability and form/fit of the UI
Use of file distribution such as TestFlight/FireBase/AppCenter etc
Using established methods, test games for ease of use, reliability, consistency, and absence of defects
Create and execute functionality test plans and checklists as assigned up to and including;
Game systems (Combat/Questing/Store/tools etc.)
Device testing strategies for Mobile/PC/Steam
Platform systems (Account/Login/Fraud/Tools)
Web systems (Marketing Sites/Newsletters/Web Shops etc.)
Log and regress all defects found during testing into the appropriate defect tracking software
Provide clear and detailed written reports of bugs and reproduction steps to the development team and Live Operations
Bring serious defects to the attention of QA Leadership and/or Live Operations
Work on multiple, complex tasks at the same time with minimal assistance and be accountable for completion
Mentor other Testers
Investigate defects fully when given little data
Help the Manager/Lead monitor Outsource resources and identify gaps
Main point of contact for all QA issues relating to assigned project(s)
[Qualifications]
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
5+ years of experience with software QA testing, preferably video game QA testing; At least 2 years of Mobile testing experience
Demonstrated knowledge of working with others from cross functional teams
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast complex environment supporting multiple ecosystems and projects
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to multi-task and work successfully under tight deadlines
Computer proficiency, especially in relation to video games
Strong understanding of Mobile products within the Android and Apple ecosystems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Interested in and comfortable with MMO gaming
Working knowledge of Jira or comparable defect management software
Troubleshooting complex game systems
Salary
$60,000 – $70,000 per year
