Energy is an Indian biotech company with a focus on developing sustainable solutions in the areas of food, feed and fuel research. We use cultivated seaweed biomass as a raw material and have pioneered the automated technologies for large scale cultivation of the same. We have developed and commercialized several bio stimulant products for improving the plant growth and yields.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• To ensure timely sampling and testing of all raw materials, packaging components and finished product according to specification.
• To perform analysis ( Gel Strength, Viscosity, other physio-chemical & Microbiological parameters ) on finished product and raw materials as per the laid down protocols and share the results with relevant stakeholders.
• To conduct Out of Specification (OOS) investigations
• Organize and plan all the external testing needs (Microbial testing and Analytical testing)
• Plan and organize microbial monitoring with Production team
• The validation and regular review of all test procedures
• Establish specifications and standards for all new products and materials well in advance of production
• Ensure all equipment is qualified, validated and calibrated regularly
• Ensure all laboratory tasks performed are in keeping with the principles of Good Laboratory Practice
• Continuous improvement of QC functions
• Self-inspections to regulatory standards to ensure all practices and within the guidelines of GMP/GLP
• To support production in deviation investigations, internal audits, recalls, complaint investigations
• To review and update senior management on environmental monitoring and product quality reviews at regular intervals
• To organize environmental monitoring of the facility and to report all environmental monitoring data to the relevant personnel in a timely manner.
• To ensure that the water & production samples are sent to the external laboratory in a timely manner (Bi-annual testing) and results are obtained within the expected timeframe.
• Oversee quality assurance activities by visiting the manufacturing plant during production.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and regulatory standards
• Experience/knowledge of Food product analysis.
