Primary Objectives of the Position
This role ensures the quality and compliance of materials, manufacturing processes, and products by conducting evaluations, managing laboratory operations, and implementing corrective actions in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Main responsibilities:
Quality Testing & Evaluation
Conduct advanced product evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Verify test data and perform follow-up tests on samples requiring further analysis.
Generate product specifications sheets.
Manage product requalification evaluations.
Collaborate with R&D and Production teams to resolve product quality issues. Daily QC Operations & Laboratory Management
Support the oversight of daily QC operations to maintain efficiency and compliance.
Plan and monitor maintenance and calibration schedules for laboratory equipment.
Ensure laboratory instruments meet performance and calibration standards.
Compliance & Corrective Actions
Conduct monthly GMP checks in production and warehouse areas.
Review pest control trends monthly and coordinate necessary corrective actions.
Review corrective action reports related to quality deviations in materials and products.
Support traceability investigations into quality lapses or non-compliance incidents.
Perform root cause analysis for QC-related customer complaints and propose corrective actions.
Establish QC work instructions for standardized operations.
Train and mentor junior team members on QC activities and evaluation processes.
Generate reports and maintain supporting documentation for all QC activities.
Ensure accurate documentation of product evaluations, audit trails, and compliance records
General QC Functions
Maintain integrity, accuracy and completeness of data and records.
Maintain good housekeeping and a clean and safe working environment in the laboratory.
Maintain and ensure that equipment / instruments in the laboratory are in good working order. Report to person in charge for any malfunctions discovered.
Required Skills:
Possesses minimum qualification of Diploma in Food Science or any related discipline.
Experience in the same field will be advantageous.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Self-Motivated and a good team player.
Other Info:
– Working hours is from 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday
– Frequent Shuttle bus provided from/to Lakeside MRT and Buroh Lane
