Job Summary:

The Quality Control Executive is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company’s quality standards before reaching the end user. This role involves conducting inspections, identifying defects, coordinating with suppliers to resolve quality issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The executive works closely with the Buying/Purchase Department, Warehouse, Retail, and Customer Service teams to maintain high product quality and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control & Inspection

Coordinate supplier-led internal inspections or engage 3rd-party QC companies for quality assessments.

Plan and conduct factory audits for new and existing suppliers to ensure ethical and technical compliance through the designated 3rd-party QC companies for quality assessments

Identify product defects, inconsistencies, or damages and document findings.

Implement and maintain quality control procedures to meet company standards.

Ensure adherence to product specifications, safety regulations, and durability requirements.

2. Claims Management

Process quality-related claims with suppliers and ensure resolution through credit notes or full product replacements in accordance with agreed terms.

3. Supplier Coordination & Communication

Communicate with suppliers regarding quality issues, defective products, and replacements, ensuring corrective actions are taken.

Collaborate with vendors to obtain technical drawings and assembly instructions.

Assist in developing and enforcing supplier quality agreements.

Provide shipping mark, labeling guidelines, and artwork files to suppliers for proper product packaging and identification.

4. Process Improvement & Compliance

Develop and refine quality control guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards.

Work with Purchase, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to address recurring quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.

5. Customer Support & Issue Resolution

Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and recommend solutions.

Coordinate with the After-Sales team to facilitate product replacements or repairs.

Monitor customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.

6. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain detailed records of quality assessments, defects, and supplier performance.

Track and analyze quality trends to mitigate future defects and improve overall product quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of furniture materials, and quality standards.

Retail Experience preferably Furniture & Home Decor

Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier coordination.

Ability to analyze data and create quality reports.

Problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
