What you will be doing:
The Quality Inspector – Auditor I is responsible for performing basic quality inspections to ensure that manufactured parts meet established standards and specifications.
EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED OR PREFERRED
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; willingness to obtain a GED if not already completed.
Minimum of 1 year work experience in a manufacturing, production, or quality control environment preferred but not required.
Proficient at a beginner to intermediate level with Microsoft Office applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform visual and dimensional inspections on parts, components, or finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) using standardized methods and procedures to verify product compliance..
Verify dimensions, finishes, and other specifications against blueprints, work orders, or established standards.
Identify and document defects, deviations, or non-conformities, following company procedures for reporting and resolution.
Assist in performing finishing operations to correct rejected parts when applicable.
Support production activities by conducting in-process inspections and communicating any quality concerns to supervisors or production personnel.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality-related documentation.
Ensure compliance with company quality policies, industry standards, and customer requirements.
Follow established safety procedures and quality control protocols.
Assist in the calibration and proper handling of inspection tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail, basic mathematical skills, and problem-solving abilities equivalent to a high school education.
