Job Summary
The Receiving Inspector ensures all incoming raw materials, components, and production materials meet specifications as per drawings, data sheets, and documentation. This role is crucial for maintaining quality standards before materials are added to inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming raw materials, interpreting specifications and technical drawings accurately.
Record inspection results in Receiving software and Oracle database.
Initiate lot rejections following nonconformance procedures and communicate discrepancies promptly.
Prevent the release of non-compliant materials and escalate issues to the Supervisor.
Perform First Article inspections when applicable.
Adapt to changing work requirements, including workload shifts and additional training. Support in-process inspections as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
At least 2 years of experience in Receiving Inspection, focusing on electronic assembly.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and optical inspection equipment.
Knowledge or certification in IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, and similar standards.
Ability to apply inspection techniques effectively.
Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and prioritize tasks.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with Oracle and Agile databases is preferred.
