Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and vision inspection systems
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical specifications to verify product conformity
- Perform dimensional measurements and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) assessments to ensure parts meet design tolerances
- Power tools including band saw, planer and jointer
- Identify non-conformities or deviations from quality standards in production processes and collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions
Experience
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals
- Proficiency with measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other precision measurement tools
- Basic math skills for data analysis and measurement calculations
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills to identify issues promptly and recommend solutions
- Effective communication skills for documenting inspection results clearly and collaborating with cross-functional teams
