YOUR OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting Mechanical Inspector opportunity in our Merriam office. The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for completing daily inspection of Seaboard Food’s company trailers and tractors located at the St Joseph plant in addition to shuttling trailers to various locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventive Maintenance on tractors and trailers
Communicate to the maintenance supervisor about repairs needed
Coordinate through dispatch moving the equipment to and from maintenance locations
Trailer wash outs
Coordinate through dispatch moving trailers from customer to plant
Local runs

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School or GED.
Class A CDL license required
Analytically and mechanically minded.
Local driving experience preferred
SCHEDULE Monday – Friday 4:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Some overtime may be required
Some Saturdays may be required
Some flexibility in start and end times may be needed

Primarily an outside environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
