Overview:

The Lead Team Member, QA’s primary responsibilities will include raw material and packaging inspections, monitoring of In-process inspections and finished goods documentation review and/or performs a variety of standard microbiological, chemical and physical or sensory testing or assays. Responsibilities will also include document control and recordkeeping, maintaining logs and data records associated with job function (e.g. non-conforming materials, corrective action log, hold logs, net content files, etc.). Supports the compliance to SQF requirements while supporting continuous improvement for Quality metrics/KPIs in the area of responsibility.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $27.50 to $29.50 per hour. This pay scale takes into account a wide range of business factors and may change over time.

Responsibilities :

OPERATIONS/LAB /R&D

Conducts daily routine sample analyses using lab techniques and other instrumentation following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Organizes laboratory records and files, summarizes data, and prepares and interprets reports used by management. Ensures compliance to procedures and work instructions
Supports laboratory activities to ensure that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping (5S) and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in laboratory and other analytical areas
Responsible for daily/weekly swabbing, calibration, sample collection, sample preparations, plating, reading, etc.
Supports the administration, training, and execution of off- and on-line sensory, and test methods
Supports laboratory compliance (Calibration, equipment testing, etc.) to SQF and BCF requirements
Supports continuous improvement of Quality Metrics/KPIs in the lab
Ensures correct recording of laboratory and quality records in compliance with the factory QMS, including storage and retrieval of records
Supports Production in attaining the BCF quality standards (QMS, NGMP, Manufacturing instructions, etc.)

DOCUMENT CONTROL AND RECORD KEEPING

Implementing and administering the ETQ system to allow BCF organization to capture, store, retrieve, share, and archive documents and electronic records.
Evaluate that the existing system to keep efficient and effective document control processes that include document numbers, processing, distribution, and archiving.
Ensure all documents are properly labeled and filed in a timely manner.
Identify and recommend improvements to existing system with the external teams. Regularly test the systems functions to ensure they operate accurately and meet relevant industry regulations.
The team member will be responsible for organizing and maintaining site documents and records within the document management system.
Train employees in the use of document management system, ETQ, as defined in Document control and record control policy procedures and assist teams in accessing documents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CFA, to ensure that documents are reviewed, approved, and released per defined schedule and overall compliance to regulatory and BCF requirements.
Participate in audits of the document management system to ensure accessibility is provided only to authorized individuals and that master documents remain secure.
Implement internal audits to the document control and records keeping management system to ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Experience in a manufacturing facility
Experience in food production
Preferred Qualifications:
Self-starter with excellent project management, organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skill
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret data; must be precise and accurate, well-organized worker
Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player, yet able to work independently when necessary
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Routinely shows interest / knowledge in and offers suggestions / solutions for continuous improvement
Able to anticipate needs
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
