Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Quality Control Inspector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will examine raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet strict quality, safety, and technical standards. The QC Inspector will assist in the daily execution and enforcement of Quality policies, ensuring that all products meet customer requirements. This is a hands-on role requiring frequent shop floor presence and collaboration with other departments.
Location
This role will be located at our Claremore, Oklahoma site.
Shift
This is a 2nd shift position, with a schedule of Mon-Fri, 5:00pm – 3:30am.
Key Responsibilities
- Read Blueprints: Compare product dimensions and assembly functions against engineering drawings and product specs.
- Inspect and Measure: Test parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measurement instruments.
- Reject Defects: Enforce requirements involved with materials and manufacturing processes. Flag, tag, and remove non-conforming or broken parts from the production line.
- Document Results: Record inspection logs, pass/fail rates, and material test data into computer databases. Maintain records of all controlled documentation.
- Collaborate: Report recurring flaws to production supervisors and help find solutions to core problems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience working directly in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment preferred.
- Strong visual attention to detail and strict accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and all required documentation.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong level of initiative and problem solving.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Willingness to work in noisy environments with variable temperatures.
- Stamina to stand for long periods and capacity to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
