We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality team. In this role, you will ensure that incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished products meet engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and DART Aerospace quality standards before they are released for production or shipment.
What You’ll Do
Inspect Incoming Materials
- Inspect purchased parts, components, and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase requirements.
- Verify compliance before materials are released to inventory.
- Apply acceptance stamps, labels, and identification markings to approved products.
- Identify and document non-conforming materials and transfer them to the Material Review Board (MRB) area for disposition.
Perform Quality Inspections Throughout Production
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) on newly manufactured components.
- Perform in-process inspections at key manufacturing stages.
- Verify dimensional accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with approved specifications.
- Perform functional and performance testing on major assemblies, including valves, pumps, flotation systems, and other aerospace products.
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues and prevent defects.
Final Inspection & Shipping Verification
- Inspect finished products prior to shipment.
- Verify product configuration, identification, traceability, and quantities.
- Ensure all shipping documentation, manuals, certificates, and drawings are complete and accurate.
- Confirm compliance for both domestic and international shipments.
Inventory & Quality Assurance
- Support the implementation of engineering changes by identifying affected inventory and coordinating re-inspection activities.
- Ensure only approved products are released into inventory.
- Maintain calibration status of inspection tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
- Support functional testing of completed systems and assemblies.
- Return controlled documentation to Document Control following inspections.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate inspection and quality records within the ERP and quality management systems.
- Record inspection results, serial numbers, acceptance criteria, supplier quality data, and engineering revisions.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen product quality and manufacturing performance.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within aerospace, aviation, defense, medical device, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent quality standards.
- Experience performing First Article Inspection (AS9102).
- Familiarity with non-conformance management, MRB processes, and root cause investigations.

Working Conditions
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the production floor.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Exposure to manufacturing equipment, chemicals, and varying environmental conditions within established safety standards.
- Regular use of computers, inspection equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs (4.5 kg).
- Corrected vision sufficient to perform detailed visual inspections.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid passport.

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
