Job Description:
Quality Assurance Clerks ensure that product standards are met by conducting file audits, analyzing results, and implementing corrective actions. Their responsibilities include maintaining a high level of quality service and enforcing compliance standards. Under direct supervision, they perform data processing, routine clerical tasks, and administrative duties that support the Quality Assurance Department.
Responsibilities:
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
Document and maintain records of quality control activities
Recommend procedures to improve the quality of products and services
Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality-related issues identified in the documentation entered by agency staff
Train employees on quality and compliance in documentation and aid as needed
Communicate with team members to ensure the quality of incoming materials and products
Entry and updates to the files of program participants used the prescribed format
Act as a receptionist, answering telephone calls (Receives, screens and directs), relaying messages and meetings, greeting and screening visitors as needed.
Perform clerical processing (coping, faxing, filing & purging records) and proofreading.
Cross-train with other Quality Assurance Staff to learn QA duties
Enter data from forms, records and reports into the computer to maintain databases.
Attend seminars, conferences, job-related training/staff development programs
Plan and participate in committees, such as P1st, Social Committee, Safety Committee, etc.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
Attention to detail and accuracy in work
Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word
Proficiency in using software systems used across the agency’s multiple departments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Understanding of HIPAA best practices
