Job Title: Compliance Coordinator Department: QA Compliance

Reports To: CEO

Position Summary:

Establishes and maintains environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. Uphold the organizations Integrated Management System (IMS) and maintain certification compliance to R2v3, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. Works with Human Resources, Logistics, Asset Recovery, Triage, Secure IT and Shipping departments to ensure compliance with these standards and any applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations governing our organization. Reports to the CEO as part of the Operations Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate Upper Management and IMS meetings related to Compliance, strategy, planning, and management review
Coordinate document creation in accordance with certifications and legal requirements
Develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analysis; identify critical and preventive measures; monitoring compliance to procedures, corrective actions and verifications
Conduct and approve downstream audits on current and proposed downstream vendors for focus materials
Addresses health and environmental issues by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing pertinent information to upper management; recommending options and courses of action; implements directives
Ensure the company adheres to all OSHA regulations both State and Federal
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, webinars, and participating in job related professional organizations
Protects company’s value by keeping confidential information
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
Ensures maintenance and updates to quality documents and records
Conduct routine daily inspections on the warehouse floor (holds employees accountable for PPE compliance)
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned
Proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) compliance and maintain a safe work record and environment
Enforce and adhere to all company policies
Conduct Monthly Safety meetings with Safety Committee
Attend management meetings and other required weekly meetings
Train new employees for safety & health, etc.,
Train and orient new hire employees and develop EHS, ISO, R2, and OSHA compliance training.
Continued EHS training as needed for all employees.
Record and maintain EHS, ISO, R2, and OSHA compliance documentation.
Enforce EHS, ISO, R2, and OSHA policies, regulations.
Engage in incident investigations and compile and submit statistical reports and updates.
Act as Project Site EHS Officer for large projects.
Guide and recommend EHS activities and manage EHS data for periodic EHS regulatory documents.
Support audit contractor and EHS, ISO, R2, and OSHA policies and standards.
Interface with state and federal agencies such as State Environmental agencies, DOT, EPA and OSHA.
Develop and implement Safety programs.
Comply with environmental management system for warehousing facility.
Finish written programs as per regulatory authorities.
Suggest resources and solutions to execute EHS, ISO, R2, and OSHA issues’ improvements.
Strategize, review regulations, prepare EHS, ISO, R2, and OSHA reports and renew applications.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

Associate’s degree
Exercise confidentiality related to company and employee information
Knowledge of quality assurance principles and procedures as well as experience with EHS, ISO, R2, and OSHA

Work Environment:

Exposure to temperature variations within warehouse or outside on Company property
Falling hazards from working in a warehouse
The noise level in the work environment can be loud

Physical Demands:
