We are currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our growing team. The successful candidate will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections while ensuring products meet drawing, customer, and quality requirements.

Responsibility

  • Inspecting Incoming Materials: Quality control inspectors often start by inspecting raw materials, components, or parts that are received from suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This may involve visual inspection, measurements, and testing.
  • Performing In-Process Inspections: Inspectors conduct inspections of work in progress to verify that products are being manufactured according to specifications. This may involve sampling products at different stages of production and performing visual inspections, measurements, and tests.
  • Conducting Final Inspections: Once products are completed, inspectors perform final inspections to ensure they meet all quality requirements. Final inspections may include comprehensive testing, dimensional checks, visual examination, performance testing and assembly of finished products.
  • Documenting Inspection Results: Inspectors are responsible for documenting inspection results, including any deviations from quality standards or non-conforming products. They may maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation to track quality performance and compliance with regulations.
  • Identifying and Addressing Non-Conformities: If defects or non-conformities are identified during inspections, inspectors work with production personnel to address the issues and implement corrective actions. This may involve rework, repair, or rejection of non-conforming products, as well as investigation into the root causes of quality issues.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Inspectors may participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, efficiency, and productivity in manufacturing operations. This could involve suggesting process improvements, implementing new inspection techniques, or providing training to production personnel.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Metrology, Quality Assurance, NDT Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing inspection experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments like, Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, etc.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience of working with hand and power tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. (Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience using CMM equipment and programming software like PC-DMIS and Polyworks.
  • NDT certification (UT, MT, PT) Level I or Level II.
  • Experience inspecting machined, forged, cast, welded, or heat-treated components.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Forklift or material handling experience
