Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured parts using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical drawings to verify product specifications and quality standards.
- Perform quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations, and other regulatory/legal compliance standards to ensure adherence across all processes.
- Utilize measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to assess product accuracy and consistency.
- Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics; document findings accurately for review and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments to guarantee measurement precision in machining and assembly processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues, collaborating with manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions aligned with quality management systems.
Experience
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving medical devices or similar regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485), GMP practices, FDA regulations, and industry-specific quality systems.
- Hands-on experience with calibration, dimensional measurements, GDT interpretation, and the use of precision measurement instruments such as height gauges and coordinate measuring machines.
- Familiarity with vision inspection systems and data collection tools used for quality analysis.
- Mechanical knowledge coupled with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documents accurately.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to perform detailed inspections while maintaining high attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurement calculations and data interpretation in a fast-paced production setting.
