Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that garments and materials meet established quality standards before, during, and after production. This role involves inspecting all in-process garments, and decoration to identify errors and/or inconsistencies with work orders to ensure compliance with customer POs. The goal is to attain and maintain zero error throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-line and final inspections of garments & decoration during various stages of production (cutting, sewing, finishing, packing).
- Revise together with personnel to develop and implement onboarding as needed of production staff on quality requirements and best practices.
- Identify any manufacturing defects including but not limited to loose threads, broken stitches, incorrect sizing labels, fabric flaws, poor construction, or measurement discrepancies.
- Establish & maintain inspection reports, defect logs, and quality records for tracking and analysis.
- Communicate quality issues to production supervisors and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in textiles or apparel is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Previous experience in garment quality control or apparel manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with AQL inspection methods and measurement techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects accurately.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
Salary: $18-$21 an hour
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
