Job Overview
M&R Manufacturing LLC is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector with strong expertise in the Oil & Gas and Aerospace industries. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with precision inspection equipment, dimensional inspection, First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspection, receiving inspection, and final inspection.
The candidate must be highly proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, applying GD&T, and using advanced measurement equipment to verify that machined components meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements.
This position will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Machining, and Production teams to ensure products meet applicable specifications, drawings, purchase orders, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Extensive experience as a Quality Control Inspector in the Aerospace and/or Oil & Gas manufacturing industries.
Measurement Equipment Experience
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with several of the following:
Required/Strongly Preferred:
- FARO Arm
- CMM
- Keyence IM-X1000
- 3D Scanner
- Mitutoyo Height Gage
- Mitutoyo SJ-210
- Mitutoyo SJ-410
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Bore gauges
- Thread gauges
- Pin gauges
Aerospace Experience
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing and inspection requirements strongly preferred.
- Experience with AS9100 and/or AS9102 preferred.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections for aerospace customers.
- Familiarity with aerospace drawings, specifications, revisions, and traceability requirements.
- Experience working in a controlled quality environment.
Oil & Gas Experience
- Experience inspecting precision-machined Oil & Gas components.
- Familiarity with customer-specific specifications and inspection requirements.
- Experience with tight-tolerance components and complex geometries preferred.
Professional Skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with machinists, engineers, quality personnel, and management.
- Ability to prioritize multiple inspection requirements in a production environment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced CNC manufacturing environment.
- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to product quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- AS9100/ISO 9001 experience.
- AS9102 FAI experience.
- CMM programming experience.
- FARO Arm programming experience.
- Keyence IM-X1000 programming/measurement experience.
- 3D scanning and point-cloud inspection experience.
- Experience with Calypso, PolyWorks, PC-DMIS, or similar inspection software.
- Experience with surface roughness measurement and interpretation.
- Previous experience supporting customer or third-party quality audits.
- Quality Inspector certification or equivalent technical training.
- Strong experience inspecting CNC lathe and CNC mill components.
- Extensive experience performing:
- First Article Inspections
- In-process inspections
- Final inspections
- Receiving inspections
- Source/vendor inspections, preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T.
- Demonstrated experience using precision inspection equipment.
- Ability to independently determine appropriate inspection methods and measurement techniques.
- Strong mathematical and dimensional measurement skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and determine product conformity.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to properly document inspection results and maintain traceability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00 – $33.00 per hour
