Payactiv is seeking a Director, Software Test Engineer based out of our Milpitas, CA corporate office.

What you will do…
Develop and implement QA strategies, policies, and best practices across the organization.
Oversee mobile, web UI, and API automation testing initiatives.
Drive the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks using Appium, Cucumber, Selenium, and other modern tools.
Ensure effective test data management and test environment setup.
Analyze product stability, prepare quality reports, and present findings to senior management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and product owners, to
ensure alignment on quality objectives.
Lead performance testing activities, including API performance evaluation using tools like JMeter.
Manage all phases of QA testing: System (functional and non-functional), Integration, Regression, Smoke,
Exploratory, Performance, Data verification, and Acceptance testing.
Promote and enforce software quality assurance (SQA) methodologies and best practices.
Provide leadership in the adoption of modern testing automation frameworks such as Detox, Cypress,
Robotium, and others.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the QA team
What you need…
Required Skills:
A minimum of bachelor’s in computer science, Software Engineering and/or the relevant field (Master’s
preferred).
10+ years’ experience required.
Proven expertise in test automation tools and frameworks: Appium, Cucumber, Selenium.
Strong programming background with proficiency in languages like Python, C#, Java, Kotlin.
Excellent database querying skills.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, task analysis, estimation, and quality delivery.
Strong leadership, people management, and team-building skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced performance testing experience using JMeter and other performance testing tools.
Familiarity with unit testing frameworks.
ISTQB certification or equivalent QA discipline knowledge.
Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in scaling QA teams and processes in an agile development environment.
