Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to work 1st shift with at least five years of experience within a manufacturing job shop environment. Candidate must possess experience with Quality Control Functions that include set-up, first piece, in process, and final inspection of close tolerance machined parts.
Additional requirements are Proficiency in reading blue prints and understanding Geometric Tolerances, HIgh School Diploma or equivalent, and Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of PCDMIS software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical drawings to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Support manufacturing teams by providing feedback on quality issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Assist in maintaining quality management systems by collecting data, preparing reports, and supporting internal or external audits.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing job shop environment with demonstrated expertise in quality control and assurance processes.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills for precise dimensional measurements.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurement calculations and analysis; excellent attention to detail is essential.
