Overview
Growing aerospace/defense bearing manufacturer is seeking a QA Inspector. The position is open to entry–level applicants, but prior experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Candidates should have either inspection experience with mechanical inspection instruments or a strong mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with ISO 9000 or AS9100 and core quality‑system elements is desirable. Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, industry standards, and the ability to apply problem‑solving techniques such as Six Sigma or FMEA are required.
Applicants must be self‑sters, detail oriented, and capable of working in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
General Knowledge: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quality requirements, procedures, drawings, technical literature, or industry standards. Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from inspectors, managers, and other personnel.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as geometry and general math. Basic understanding of SPC, process‑capability analysis, and gauge R&R.
Reasoning & Problem Solving: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer
Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and other Microsoft products.
Other
Skills:
Knowledge of AS9100, GD&T, PPAP, FMEA, FAI, and SPC.
