POSITION OVERVIEW: The Quality Associate supports the quality team by performing routine inspections and audits to ensure products meet established quality standards. This role involves documenting findings, assisting in the investigation of defects, and maintaining records of test results. Additionally, the person in this role collaborates with the production team to identify areas for improvement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to upholding the highest quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Quality System Management:

Assist with implementing, maintaining, and improving the Company’s AS9100 compliant QMS, including policies, procedures, and documentation.
Assist with conducting regular internal audits to assess compliance with AS9100 standards, identifying non-conformances, and initiating corrective actions.
Assist with evaluating and managing supplier quality to ensure they meet AS9100 requirements.

Process Improvement & Non-Conformance Management:

Assist with analyzing quality data to identify areas for improvement and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventative actions.

Training and Awareness:

Assist with providing training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and documentation.

Customer Communication:

Assist with collaborating with customers to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction.

Compliance Reporting:

Assisting with generating reports on quality metrics and compliance status to management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

quality management systems within a manufacturing environment.
Bachlors degree in relevant field preferred; industry experience may be a suitable alternative.
Strong understanding of AS9100 quality standards, quality control methodologies, and inspection techniques.
NADCAP experience is a plus.
Proficiency in analyzing quality data to identify trends and root causes.
Some level of experience/training conducting internal audits and interpreting audit results.
Must be comfortable using the Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
Adhere to the Company’s non-discrimination policies.
Bilingual, English/Spanish Preferred.

WORK ENVIORMENT:

This position is located within a dynamic manufacturing environment that involves working in and around various chemicals. As a result, proper safety protocols must always be followed. Additionally, the work setting can be loud at times, requiring the use of appropriate protective equipment

PHSYICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position will require an employee to walk, kneel and stand for extended periods of time. The person in this role should be comfortable carrying 45 pounds.
Employees are responsible for informing supervisors of any disability or medical restriction that limits physical capability.

SCHEDULE:

Monday to Friday, 8-Hour Shift
