Quality Control Inspector III – MA Jobs in Clinton, MA at Vitesse Systems LLC
Main Function:
This role has dual responsibility. Responsible for the administration and execution of the Quality Management Systems, through the implementation and support of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program and associated policies as one component. Also responsible for ongoing execution of policies and practices relating to the Health & Safety program. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and safety of our team, ensuring customer satisfaction, and upholding the company’s reputation for quality.
Duties & Responsibilities:
ï‚· Maintenance and Continual improvement of Quality Management and Health & Safety programs
ï‚· Conduct customer complaint investigation and review findings with Operations Manager & VP of Operations within the required timeframe.
ï‚· Ensure all tasks and programs / processes within the QMS fully adhere to the requirements of SQF, Organic, Kosher, HACCP and GMP.
ï‚· Conduct Audits and Inspections: Regularly perform internal audits and inspections of production processes, equipment, and facilities to identify and address quality issues.
ï‚· Manage Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including test results, audits, and corrective actions.
ï‚· Analyze Quality Data: Collect and analyze data related to product quality, prepare reports for management review and identify areas for improvement.
ï‚· Serves as contact for inquiries from our partners and external regulatory organizations related to regulatory authorities.
ï‚· Mgt / ownership of the QC Lab and testing activities:
management & oversight of test methods
monitoring & measuring equipment
calibration program.
ï‚· Act as the designate to the Operations Manager
ï‚· Maintain all required training certification and skills required for our continuously evolving food safety program programs.
HEALTH & SAFETY
ï‚· Implements and provides technical support and manages safety, and environmental policy, programs and procedures, including guidelines for specific issues and best practices within a respective geographic area.
ï‚· Facilitates incident investigations, on workplace incidents and provides feedback to staff and management recommending corrective actions to facilitate a safe workplace and ensure legal compliance.
ï‚· Develops and maintains working relationships with department managers, and other internal contacts in the development of comprehensive site management plans to implement H&S controls and ensure site H&S systems are kept operational.
ï‚· Recommends novel approaches within guidelines across all divisions for the design, construction and operating characteristics of facilities and equipment within the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
ï‚· Provides technical support to advise on H&S risks associated with projects.
 Trains and coaches’ staff on H&S policy, programs and procedures, including guidelines for specific issues and best practices.
ï‚· Creates an environment which fosters teamwork and continuous improvement.
ï‚· Contributes to the development of on-going long-term H&S strategic objectives, programs and guidelines and performance measures.
ï‚· Provides other related duties as required.
Experience:
ï‚· Proven experience as a quality assurance manager or in a similar role within the beverage or food industry.
ï‚· Safe Quality Food (SQF) Practitioner
ï‚· HACCP and Food Safety
ï‚· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
ï‚· Department operating and project budgets
ï‚· Organic, Koser, and GMP
ï‚· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
ï‚· Proficiency in quality management systems and methodologies.
ï‚· Attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
ï‚· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Education:
ï‚· A bachelors degree in food science, chemistry, biology, or a related field is typically
required.
ï‚· Post secondary education either Food Sciences, Food Safety & Quality Assurance
 Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline preferred
ï‚· Minimum 8 years large scale commercial, government, or industrial project management experience, including at least 4 years management level safety profession experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
