About the Role
We’re adding Quality Control Inspectors to our manufacturing team. You’ll work under our QC Manager inspecting windows and doors at multiple stages of production — incoming materials, in-process assembly, and finished product before it ships.
You don’t need window and door experience. We’ll train you on our products, our defect standards, and our inspection process. What we can’t train is attention to detail and the willingness to flag a problem even when production is behind schedule. That part has to come with you.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect frames, sashes, glass units, and hardware against written quality standards
- Check dimensions, squareness, and tolerances using tape measures, calipers, and gauges
- Test window and door operation: locks, rollers, seals, weep holes, hardware function
- Inspect glass for scratches, seal defects, and correct Low-E coating orientation
- Document defects with photos and written reports; tag and quarantine rejected product
- Track recurring defects and report patterns to the QC Manager
- Perform final inspection and sign-off before product ships
- Help maintain and improve inspection checklists
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of QC/inspection experience in manufacturing (windows, glass, cabinetry, millwork, metal fab, or similar hands-on production environments all count) — OR strong production floor experience with a sharp eye and interest in moving into quality
- Comfortable reading a tape measure to 1/16″ and using calipers
- Able to read work orders, specs, and drawings
- Writes clear, legible defect reports
- Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to [50] lbs
- Willing to say “no, this doesn’t ship” and stand behind it
Nice to Have (not required)
- Experience in window, door, glass, or glazing manufacturing
- Familiarity with AAMA/FGIA certification or third-party plant audits
- Bilingual English/Spanish
