The Quality Control Inspector plays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards while complying with GAT processes. This position is responsible for performing incoming and outgoing inspections of aircraft parts and materials along with required production procedures. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Quality Control and Projects, the ideal individual should be quality-oriented and have attention to detail, be self-motivated, reliable, and able to multi-task to perform each essential duty satisfactorily to meet quality product expectations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct a complete visual inspection of all articles that are maintained.
Ensure products meet company standards before they are sent out or placed on inventory shelves.
Handle material with necessary precaution and in accordance with requirements for safe handling.
Review material specifications to compare to inventory parts.
Ensure production and processes adhere to standards with legal requirements.
Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting a visual inspection, and communicating required adjustments to the production department.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs for quality assurance.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
1-2 yrs. Quality Control Inspector experience.
Must be A&P Certificated under 14 CFR Part 65.
Airframe License required.
Familiar with ATA
106 and ATA
300 Specifications.
Familiar with ISO
9001, AS9120 and ASA-100 standards.
Familiar with procedures for completion of ATA
106 certificate.
Familiar with procedures for Maintenance Release certificates such as 8130’s, EASA Form One, Canadian Form One, etc.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as basic mathematical skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively (oral and written).
Possess strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills.
Additional Qualifications:
Familiar with Quantum Software.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
