SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector certified by the AWS or ICC to oversee and ensure the quality standards of our products, processes, and services. The ideal candidate will assist in developing and implementing procedures and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance product quality. The candidate will be fluent with structural drawings and capable of performing dimensional inspections.
Experience with NDT, specifically MT and UT is required.
The Quality Control Inspector will implement and maintain our quality assurance program. This position assists the QA Manager in performing dimensional and weld inspections, resolving material and fabrication problems, qualifying welders, monitoring welding performance, and monitoring cleaning and painting procedures.
Accepted Qualifications:
AWS CWI
ICC – S1 Structural Steel and Bolting
ICC – S2 Structural Welding
ACCP Level 2
Five or more years of Fitter/Welder and/or Quality Control experience related to structural steel fabrication
Working knowledge of AISC, AWSD
1.1, SSPC specifications and codes
Knowledge of proper fabrication methods – cutting, burning, shearing, drilling, assembling, bolting, welding, cleaning, and painting
Knowledge of proper application of NDE methods – VT, PT, MT, UT, RT
Ability to interpret material and fabrication requirements from design drawings, contract specifications, and shop detail drawings
Ability to troubleshoot situations with a team and maintain a professional attitude

Starting pay for the Quality Control Inspector position is based on education, experience, and skill level, with an hourly salary ranging from $30.00 to $34.00 per hour.
